At the Chandralaya School of Dance, Deepa leads her students to explore and celebrate heritage through creativity where the students are at the heart of the school.
.
Offering a plethora of classes to learn her artform, Deepa is driven to share her cultural heritage, knowledge and talents from being in the studio with her students, providing masterclasses and dance workshops, taking to the stage to share her journey as both an artist and guest speaker through to collaborations with schools and productions including festival favourite 'Touch' with Sheena Chundee.

Apart from teaching these classes, Deepa also runs workshops and sessions for universities and schools to impart cultural diversity as well as artistic projects with other artists and other genres, and with organisations like @regionalartsvic and @thesongroom to engage students and help them to get a broader perspective of the culturally diverse land we share across Australia.

Calls for Expressions of Interest: APATA Advisory Board.

APATA is seeking to recruit Advisory Board Members who will provide strategic guidance, expert advice, and recommendations to APATA regarding the development, implementation, and evaluation of programming initiatives and the associations agenda for best representation of it's members and the wider performing arts education community.
.
‘Expressions of Interest’ are now open for experienced, professional, performing arts educators, to join the APATA Advisory Board Round Table.
.
The inaugural Advisory Board is being established now, with several positions available. Appointments will follow an EOI process, and will be for a two-year term, which may be extended to a second term.

The team’s mission at @balletwithoutborders has set about to do just that, by enabling children to participate in ballet education regardless of the social or economic constraints they may face.
