Careers Week at Melbourne Theatre Company

Posted by Team APATA | May 4, 2023

Join Melbourne Theatre Company staff and artists for a series of virtual workshops and panels to explore the many careers in theatre.

Careers Week is an expanded version of MTC’s previous work experience program, creating access for more students to participate in a virtual format.

Conducted entirely online via Zoom, students meet a range of staff and artists in panels and workshops, and collaborate on mini-projects to experience how various theatre professionals work together.

WHEN AND WHERE

Monday 26 June – Friday 30 June 2023
11am – 3pm daily
Zoom

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Careers Week is for Victorian high school students in Years 10-11.

Selected students from across Victoria will meet virtually and participate in interactive workshops and Q&A sessions with staff and artists. Students will explore various careers including acting, design, playwriting, technical production and arts management. Theatre is a collaborative artform, so students will be working together at times during the week. By applying, students agree to the participation guidelines for Careers Week.

Careers Week is free of charge, but capacity is limited.
